Experience the Thrill of the Regattas in The Abacos!

Join us in the Bahamas for an unforgettable eight-day sailing event that combines exciting races with lively island parties each evening. From June 20th to 28th, this premier regatta kicks off at Green Turtle Cay and sails through some of the most picturesque locations within the Abacos, including Great Guana Cay, Marsh Harbour, Elbow Cay, and Little Harbour.

Participants can compete in four race classes: multihull, spinnaker, non-spinnaker, and the unique "Mother Tub" class, designed for cruising sailboats that carry extra weight or size. Each race class offers thrilling competition for sailors of all levels.

Evening festivities at each stop promise fun, food, and island vibes, making this event perfect for participants and spectators alike. Winners in each class will receive locally handcrafted trophies, made locally at a renowned foundry, ensuring each prize is as unique as the event itself.

Whether you're a seasoned sailor, a casual cruiser, or simply a fan of great events, the Regattas in The Abacos is a must-experience celebration of sailing and island life. Mark your calendar and set sail for an adventure to remember!

Introducing the Wynsome Award

In 2026, we will honor the memory of our beloved committee member, Wynsome Ferguson, with a special tribute: the Wynsome Award. This one-time recognition will be presented to the boat and crew who best embody the true spirit of RITA—kindness, camaraderie, fun, and community. It’s our way of celebrating the joyful, generous spirit Wynsome brought to every regatta she touched.

This special award is made possible through the generous support of CIBC.
