We’re excited to welcome sailors back to the turquoise waters of the Sea of Abaco for another unforgettable week of racing, cruising, and island celebrations. Below you’ll find everything you need to register, plan your route, and prepare for race week.
Registration Fees
We understand the financial commitment it takes to participate in RITA — from preparing your vessel to covering travel, provisioning, and the cruising permit. To support our visiting sailors and help offset some of those upfront costs, we’ve lowered Early Registration to just $250 for 2026 — half the regular price.
This is our way of keeping the tradition accessible, encouraging early planning, and showing appreciation for the loyal captains and crews who return to the Abacos year after year.

- Early Registration: $250 (discounted rate through May 1st)
- Standard Registration: $500
- Individual Race: $125
Payment Information
Please note that due to limitations with the local banking systems, we are unable to accept credit card payments at this time. For participants registering from the United States or abroad, payment must be made via wire transfer, international money order, or cash via Zelle.
To take advantage of the early registration rate of $250, payment must be received in full by May 1st. After this date, the registration fee increases to $500. In-person payment will be accepted at the Skipper’s Meeting on June 20th.
Race Classes of Regattas in The Abacos
Race classes include Multihull, Spinnaker, Non-Spinnaker, and Mother Tub.
The Mother Tub class is for boats equipped for cruising that do not usually race competitively. No spinnakers or other specialty sails are allowed, and handicaps assigned by the Race Committee may be adjusted from race to race to afford all Mother Tub yachts an equal opportunity to win.
Cancellation & Transfer Policy
The registration fee is non-refundable if you're unable to attend. We understand that plans can change, and we strive to be as accommodating as possible while maintaining fairness for all participants and efficiently managing event logistics.
- Transfer to Another Skipper/Boat: Registrations may be transferred to another skipper or boat for the same year, provided we receive written notice at least 7 days before the event’s start date. If the registration tier or fee has increased for the new skipper/boat, the difference in cost must be paid at the time of transfer.
- No Show, No Credit: If no notice is given and you do not attend, the registration fee will be forfeited.
